It's only a risk if you have MS SQL installed on your system... which we here at \\Weathered elected to not do. So yeah... other than "keep your DAT files up to date", and "don't open shit that you have no clue about", and "don't be a moron and download attached files if you aren't 100% certain of their validity and cleanliness", there's not much else to know. It's common sense, really. If you follow those directions, what are the chances of actually getting infected by anything? Keep a lookout on http://www.antivirus.com, subscribe to the notify list, and keep a real Antivirus program installed and running on your computer (it's useless to be a moron and disable real-time scanning, or not update your AV DAT files regularly). Again... common sense. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lee Reed" To: Sent: Saturday, January 25, 2003 11:25 PM Subject: [ Creed Discuss ] seems our server survived... > > that sapphire virus that was on the news...kudos to our illustrious admin > staff! one question tho, i noticed that mcafee rated personal users danger > of this one low-profile...anything else we should know about this one scott, > asides from the obvious (to some of us anyways) admonition to keep your > virus scanner up to date? > Lee To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: http://www.debbir.com/lists/Creed-discuss.htm To submit your profile, visit: http://www.creedlisters.com/profile/submit.asp To view List member Profiles, visit: http://www.creedlisters.com
